You need to follow the Moogle to the exact spot.
Before we go there, let's complete 2 bestiary entries which only appear here in the desert.
- Cactus - this guy will counter your physical attack with Needle, which deals decent damage.
- Sandcrawler - it loves to use Maelstrom, which reduces your entire party's HP to a single digit. The quickest way to kill it is using Break (Black Mage) or Spellblade + Break (Mystic Knight).
Once you've killed one of each, stop running on the desert to avoid encountering them again. Follow the green grass and forest to the Moogle Village. Make a save before you enter just in case you mess up the order.
Follow these steps in order:
- Approach the Moogles (a).
- Then talk to the Moogle (b) you rescued; he is in the top-right corner.
- Open all 6 chests, then leave the house.
- DO NOT talk to the Moogle again or you'll be forced to leave the village.
- Enter the 2nd house and interact with the Moogle costume (c) inside. Choose "Yes".
- Enter the 1st house and talk to the Moogle (d); he'll unlock the chest for you.
- Once you've collected all treasures, go back and talk to the Moogle (e) in front of the 3rd house again.
