As the name suggests, the mountain is in the north. Just go up north following the mountain range on your right side until you see the mountain surrounded by forests.
- In the North Mountain - Cave, you'll find one specific monster Headstone; it has blue magic Flash (see the section below).
- On the Mountain Path with a bridge, watch out for purple grasses because you'll get poisoned if you step on them.
- Headstone has a blue magic spell you can learn from.
Blue Magic (4/30): Flash
From Monster: Headstone
Location: North Mountain - Cave
Change everyone's ability to Learn, then make a Quicksave before you attempt.
The thing about getting this blue magic is that Headstone doesn't have enough MP to cast the Flash spell. During the battle, you'll have to throw one Ether on the Headstone and wait until it uses Flash on one of your allies (it doesn't count if it misses). You should have 2 Ether in your inventory if you've collected all available chests until now.
Once you learn the spell, you can either use Eye Drops or leave the cave and use Tent outside to remove the Blind status.

You start the fight with Magissa, then she'll summon Forza after a few attacks.
The strategy is simple:
- Black Mage should equip Frost Rod to amplify Blizzard damage.
- Blue Mage uses Aero.
- Fighters keep attacking, and your White Mage keeps healing your party.
Alternatively, you can use Frost Rod as an item to cast Blizzaga to one-shot kill both of them, but this will break the rod (one-time use).
