Make sure you are in full health before entering the castle because you'll have to fight 2 bosses. I suggest you use Quick Save before the second boss.
- You'll immediately fight Baigan when you enter the castle 1F.
- Heal everyone up. If you're super low on MP, you can use Ether or go back to the Waterway and use Tent to fully restore HP/MP.
- Then head straight north to the throne room to face the big boss.
Boss: Baigan, Left Arm, Right Arm
Baigan will cast Reflect on himself and both arms upon receiving any magic (damage or debuff), but it will eventually wear off.
First destroy one arm, then focus on the body. If you kill both arms, he will respawn both arms.
You can have Polom use Bluff then Bio. This will trigger Reflect, so next turn you can just attack normally.
Boss: Cagnazzo
When you see water surrounding him, he'll use Tsunami the next turn, so you can use any thunder spell to break the formation before he uses it.
- Cecil and Yang use normal attack.
- Tellah and Polom use Thundaga and Thundara.
- Porom keeps everyone alive.
After the cutscene, Polom and Porom leave and Cid joins the party. Let's change the formation back to 3 front, 2 back:
- "Inventory -> Order -> select Cecil twice"
- Move Cecil, Yang, and Cid to the front row (slot 1, 3, 5)
- Move Tellah to the back row (slot 2 or 4)
Collecting Treasures (Optional)
Land your airship and re-enter the castle for items.
Optional: Inside the East Tower, you can go down to B2 to trigger a cutscene with the real Baron king for a hint to obtain a secret summon. You can only trigger this cutscene after killing Cagnazzo.

- I-020: Ether - East Tower 3F, pot below the stairs.
- C-092: Tent - East Tower 3F, right chest.
- C-093: Tent - East Tower 3F, middle chest.
- C-094: Ether - East Tower 3F, left chest.
- I-021: Elixir - East Tower B1, 2nd pot.
