Next, go east following the grassland until you reach a mountain surrounded by forest.
Note: most monsters here are weak against fire, so both Fire and Fira are very useful.
- Follow the map below to the summit and collect items along the way.

The first thing you want to do right away is change your formation by "select left arrow key -> select Row command".
Since he reveals his true form, his weakness is also exposed. He is an undead-type monster, so he is really weak against fire, holy, and heal. He occasionally inflicts poison on your team, but don't bother using Antidote to remove it.
- Palom uses Bluff then Fira to double the damage.
- Tellah uses Fire while Cecil attacks normally.
- Porom can either heal the party or use Cura on the boss for extra damage.
Once you defeat the boss, examine the mirror.
Boss: Dark Knight
You will definitely lose this battle if you don't know the trick.
Simply defend until the battle is over: "select right arrow key -> select Defend command".

After the battles, Cecil becomes a Paladin with level 1, seriously. So you probably want to level him up as quickly as possible.
Chocobo Forest - Mysidia Area
The quickest way to go back is to grab a Chocobo from the Chocobo Forest. To the south of Mount Ordeals, you'll find a round tiny forest.
Inside, you'll see 2 color Chocobo; the white one restores your MP, the yellow ones allow you to ride on the world map. Pick up a hidden item before talking to a yellow Chocobo.

Return to Mysidia
Ride a Chocobo back to Mysidia:
- Enter the town, head straight to the manor, and talk to the elder.
- Enter the lone house in the east and step on the portal to enter the Devil's Road.
