18. Deist Cavern

This time, we'll explore and collect everything from this dungeon.

Note:

That if you encounter high-defense monsters like Hill Gigas or Adamantoise, you can either Flee or kill them with magic, but it's gonna take a while.
Yellow Souls are good monsters for you to raise your magic defense.

Deist Cavern - B1 - B5 (1st Path)

Take the bottom-left exit (A) to B2.

Follow the path, then take the exit (B) to B3 -> then another exit (C) to B4 -> and finally another exit (D) at the top-left to B5.

There are 4 chests in the bottom-right areas:

C-069: Knight Armor (Monster) - Lone chest in bottom.
Monsters: Adamantoise x4 - use your Blizzard lv. 3 to kill them.
C-070: Flame Bow - Grouped chest, first.
C-071: Sage's Wisdom - Grouped chest, second.
C-072: Saint's Spirit - Grouped chest, third.

Use "Teleport" to exit the cave.

Heal up or uses the Cottage.

Then re-enter the cavern.

This time take the bottom-right exit (E).

C-073: Mythril Helm - At the first split, bottom path.
C-074: Mythril Armor - At the first split, top path.
C-075: Mage's Staff (Monster) - At the second split, bottom path.
Monsters: Green Soul

Then take the middle exit (F) to B3.

*** You'll notice there is a bridge here, DO NOT cross it, or you'll fall down to B4. Go north, follow the path.

Backtrack to B2 (F), then take the bottom-left exit (G) to B3.

Go north, follow the path to the exit (H) on the east to B4.

Take the exit (I) to B5.

You'll immediately see 4 doors. Only the third door leads to the Hot Spring, others are just empty rooms.

You'll want to kill them as fast as possible.

Equip both hands with your strongest weapons to quickly kill these Chimera.

Check out the Hot Spring, then choose "Key Items -> Wyvern Egg".

Teleport out the cavern.

Optional Story: if you go back to Castle Deist, the lady will tell you that the Wyvern has passed away.
