IMPORTANT: This is a one-time visit. Make sure you collect everything.
From Kashuan Keep, go straight south to enter Chocobo Forest. Here you can pick up a Chocobo to roam around the world map without encountering monsters.
Go straight south to the bottom right corner of the world map, you'll see the Dreadnought is docked on the grassland. Disembark from the Chocobo, heal up using Cottage, and the save game before entering.
Beastiary:
Tip: conserve your MP for healing.
Enter the Dreadnought then talk to the first Captain blocking your path. Select "Key Items -> Pass".
Note:
- Alternatively, if you select "Ask -> Wild Rose", you'll reveal yourself as the rebels, and you'll be fighting the Captain. He is powerful; however, you can still beat him if you are strong enough.
- After that, do not talk to any Captain, or you'll be forced to fight them.
Take the first stairs (A) you see in the middle to 2F.
There is a chest on your right that is accessible through the right wall.
- C-043: Sleep Blade (Monster) - Chest in the locked cell.
Monsters: Sergeant x2, Soldier x3, Magician x3 - KILL Magician first, these guys can cast all kinds of spell specially Blind. If they do, use Esuna to remove them.
Go back to 1F (A).
- C-044: 600 gil - Chest in the top-left corner.
Follow the path and enter the top-right door, it'll lead you to 2F.
- C-045: Hi-Potion - Bottom-right corner, first chest.
- C-046: Potion - Bottom-right corner, second chest.
- C-047: Dark Bow - Bottom-left corner.
- C-048: Thief's Gloves - Bottom chest. Equip on anyone immediately, these gloves increase your Defense and Evasion.
Examine the green gate to open it, then talk to Hilda and Cid.
Backtrack to 1F (B), then take the stairs (C) in the bottom-right corner to 3F.
Nothing here, follow the path to the exit (D) in the top-left corner that leads to 4F.
There are 4 chests in the top-right area.
- C-049: Trident - First chest.
- C-050: Main Gauche - Second chest.
- C-051: Ice Shield (Monster) - Third chest.
Monsters: Magician, Soldier, Hill Gigas - Kill the Magician. - C-052: Giant's Helm - Fourth chest.
Take the long stairs (E) in the middle back to 3F, then enter the room to you left (F) that leads to 5F.
No chest on this floor, however, there are many Captains blocking your paths, so you have to walk around starting from the north, circle around, until you are able to reach the middle door.
Enter the engine, examine the Dreadnought's engine, then choose "Key Items -> Sunfire".
