Go back to the Sealed Cave to pick up your airship, then fly it toward the boulder in the south of the forest.
Watch a scene, then walk south to Canaan.

1. Enter Salina's house (1) and collect items inside.
2. Go to a small land in the southeast corner of the town (2) to pick up an Elixir.
3. Enter Cid's house (3), then talk to Cid's wife and give her the Elixir.
4. Talk to Cid again; he'll move out of the way.
5. Examine the candle to open a path to the basement for more treasures.

Random things you can do:

• There is a lady dancer in front of the magic shop. You can talk to her to see her dance.
• Enter Salina's house (1) and talk to her and her mother for a side story about the guy named Desch.
