- Approach the security personnel who are guarding East Vence (B) entrance again. This time they will ask you to get permission from the Mayor first.
- Make your way to the city hall (Q).
- (I-40) Antidote: Inside a plant to your left.
- (I-41) Poison Apple: On the right white bench on your right.
- Then talk to the Mayor, the one who is chubby wearing hate and cyan jacket standing in front of the counter. He'll give you a letter and pointed you to a gondola lady at the market.
- Next, use the stairs on your right to go up.
- (I-42) Glue: Middle bench.
- (I-43) Rock Hammer: Bottom chest.
- (I-44) 4000G: Iron Chest, top chest.
- (Optional): Walk north and try to look out, a magnifying glass pops up giving you an overview of East Vence.
Side Quest: Researcher (Q-06) - Required
Leave the city hall and open your map, you'll see a quest marker in a residence.

Go there and talk to the researcher to activate the quest. Good thing is that this quest can be done when you go through East Vence. Basically, you'll have to collect 5 "Mechteria Sample".
Key to Gondola
There is one more thing we have to do before we can fully access East Vence area. Go back to West Vence (J) and head to the marketplace then talk to the lady merchant who is selling fruits on the left side.

Come back to the City Hall, then approach the guards at the East Vence entrance. This time they will let you pass.

East Vence
Note: You'll encounter "Key Orbling" monsters again in the area, but this time they will drop "Mechteria Key", so watch out for those.

- Q-06: Machteria Sample #1: You'll immediately see it on the Mechteria in front of the house.
- Enter the first residence (R) you see with the key you got from the fruit lady.
- (I-45) Potion L x2: On Mechteria at the west wall.
- (I-46) Ether S x2: Inside the chest.
Check your equipment and heal up, then examine gondolas laying on north wall.
Strategy:
- The boss will start the battle with Barrier, which will prevent it from taking damage for 5 turns. To quickly destroy the "Barrier", use Leo's Samidare (this skill can hit multiple times, so it'll quickly destroy the shield). Other than that, just keep everyone alive.
You will obtain Gondola key item. This item allows you to use a gondola to access water area in Vence City.

- Leave the residence, cross a bridge, you'll see 2 shiny objects next to each other in the bottom-right corner.
- (I-47) Mechteria Core: On the ground.
- (Q-06) Machteria Sample #2: Guarded by monsters.
- Cross the second bridge.
- (Q-06) Machteria Sample #3: You'll see another Mechteria Sample.
- (I-48) Garnet M: To the north of where you stand is another chest.
- Walk south, you'll see a pier for gondola (a). Hop on the gondola and paddle north to the next pier (b).
- (I-49) Potion S: A shiny object on the ground.
- (I-50) Elixir: Iron Chest At the bottom-left screen.
- Use the gondola to the next pier (c).
- Enter the house on the left (S) of the Save Point.
- (I-51) Potion L: Top-right corner surrounded by Mechteria.
- Leave the house then move east pass the Save Point you can 2 shiny objects.
- (Q-06) Machteria Sample #4: On the Mechteria guarded by monsters.
- (I-52) 500G: On the ground near the bridge.
- (I-53) Snow Quartz: Inside a chest, cross the bridge to the other side.
Now backtrack to the Save Point, heal up, save your game.
Farming Mechteria Keys (Optional)
- I highly recommend this. As I mentioned early that there are Key Orbling monsters here that drop Mechteria Key, so you should take this opportunity to farm them now because, one, You'll get enough Mechteria Keys to opens all the chests, two, you can level up to prepare for the boss fight (if you can unlock Cheryl's Ice Strike skill at level 13 that would be a huge plus. There are total of 23 Mechteria Chests so you'll need at least 18 (you'll get the rest from chests or side quests assuming you follow this guide).
- You can run around the area below the Save Point until your Dimengeon is overflowed. Repeat until you have enough keys.
Preparation
- You should have 2 Snow Quartz, equip one on Leo and another one on Kina. This gem nullifies petrify effect and will be important for our boss fight.
- Equip Ruby S on Cheryl because she'll be the main damage dealer.
This boss can be difficult for first timers, but it's not too hard when you know what to do. It comes with 4 minions and these "Mecha Jellyfish" can either buff the big boss or attack you.
Watch out for "Foul Breath", this skill can petrify one ally. Luckily, you have "Snow Quartz" on Leo and Kina. If it hits Cheryl, use either "Rock Hammer" or "Cure" to remove petrify from her.
Steal:
- (I-54) Elixir
Strategy:
- Cheryl, she is our main damage dealer because her knight can deal huge damage to the blob but under one condition: only when the boss open its mouth upward to the sky, which means that you have to aim your knight and wait for the right time to strike (don't worry because the time window is pretty generous).
- You should aim her Ice Strike on the boss if you have, or "Impact Knight" to cover the boss and its minions.
- Have Leo spends a few turns stealing "Elixir" from the boss. Then he can help heal allies. If he has free turn, you can deal additional damage to the boss with "Samidare".
- Kina, same as Leo will either heal an ally or attack with "Holy". Curve the trajectory to deal damage up to 3 enemies.
- The boss will eventually summon its minions again.
Walk to the end of the town you'll reach a resident's house, the Midi Toy Box.

- (Q-06) Machteria Sample #5: Don't forget to pick this last Mechteria Sample, it's on a Mechteria next to a house on your left screen.
- (I-56) Ether S: On the ground, below the Mechteria Sample #5
When you ready, enter Leo's house (T).
